About Colon Hydro-Therapy
Q. What the heck is a Colonic?
A Colonic or Colon Hydrotherapy is a procedure of infusing
warm purified water that has been purified with an ultra violet water purification system before it passes through the rectal nozzle into the colon via a very small disposable
rectal tube to remove fecal matter from the lower bowel. The colonic is intended to cleanse (evacuate) the contents of the lower colon. The colonic device is designed to allow evacuation of the contents of the colon during the administration of the colonic irrigation. This device is intended for colon cleansing when medically indicated, such as before radiological or endoscopic examinations.
Water flows through a Carbon Filter which removes any sediment, rust, or chlorine. The water is purified by an Ultra Violet Purification System, before it passes through the rectal nozzle. Water flows gently into the rectum and waste releases naturally.
A gentle slow rate of UV purified-temperature safe water is fed from the gravity-fed Column. Less than six gallons of water may be used during the session at a safe temperature of 98 F. to 102 F. (36.8ºC to 38.ºC) (Water temperature is safely controlled and adjusted). An Odor Exhaust System insures that the session room and entire center remains odor free.
Q. How many colonics are needed?
A. When you began the colonic process it
is important to follow the recommendations of either your physician or mine. After reviewing The Client Medical Intake Form, our physician will determine how many colonics he will allow you to have.
.
Q. What's in the Water?
A. No additives are added to the water.
Q. What kind of Colonic Device
is used at InSideOut & WithIn?
A. At InSideOut we use a FDA registered Class
II Medical Device, which is registered under FDA Code of Regulations
section (21 C.F.R, §876.5220 (b)(1) ) The coding identifies
the colonic irrigation system as a device intended to instill water
into the colon through a nozzle inserted in the rectum. To cleanse
(evacuate) the contents of the lower colon. The system is designed
to allow evacuation of the contents of the colon during the administration
of the colonic irrigation. This device is intended for colon cleansing
when medically indicated, such as before radiological or endoscopic
examinations.
Q. Are the rectal tubes reusable?
A. Absolutely not. I can assure you, at InSideOut
& WithIn, we take every precaution to protect your health. Every
rectal tube that is used at InSideOut & WithIn is pre-sealed and disposable.
Each rectal tube package is opened while you are watching to reassure
you of your safety.
Q. I’ve heard that I
may need a prescription before I can have a colonic. I never needed
a prescription before, so why do I need one now?
A. Good Question. According
to the Texas Department of State Health Services, and the FDA, the colonic is to be administered with
a Physician approval and prescription PRIOR TO HAVING A COLONIC. The colonic
devices used at InSideOut & WithIn is a Class II Medical Device
which requires a prescription from a licensed physician prior to the colonic session. With a Physician
on staff to help monitor your colonic and to assure you are good candidate for colon therapy, we strongly feel your safety
is even more guaranteed.
Q. Do you provide clothing
and toiletries or should I bring my own?
A. We provide everything you may need and more.
We have carefully thought about your needs and concerns of hygiene. We provide you with a clean large Tee-Shirt and socks
to wear while you are on the colonic table. After each session the
colonic table and bath room is cleansed with Bleach and a cleansing
agent named CDC which kills the HIV virus. All linen, towels, and
clothing are washed after each use and the rectal tubing is disposed
of properly.
Q. How long have you been
in business and how long have you been doing colonics?
A. I have been in business since 1996 and I’ve
been doing colonics since that time.
Q. Will there be someone in
the room with me throughout the colonic session?
A. Yes. You will be assisted throughout the entire colonic session. I will always be available to assist you in every way throughout your session. If the client becomes uncomfortable or if there's extreme cramping the colonic procedure is stopped
immediately.
Q.
Is the colonic painful?
A. The colonic procedure should not be painful
at all. You may experience slight cramping because water and waste
is being released from the colon. The feeling you should expect should
be the same or similar sensation that you would experience when
you need to have a really good bowel movement. Nothing more, nothing
less.
Q. So what am I doing during
the procedure?
A. Overall you should try and concentrate on the procedure, and follow the instructions of the therapist. You will know when or if you become comfortable enough to talk on your cell phones, read, watch TV, listen to jazz or to simply try and relax.
Q. Is the Colon Hydro-therapist
licensed or certified?

IACT Instructor. I also hold a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from
